POTSDAM -- Some Canton-Potsdam Hospital employees took a break from their day to impersonate the cast of M*A*S*H, a 1970’s medical drama set during the US conflict with Korea in the early 1950’s.

The employees posed for posters to help the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Foundation publicize its employee fundraising campaign.

In 2012, gifts from 177 employees totaled $78,000. Past campaigns have funded investments in equipment and facilities.

The foundation was established in 1985 to raise, invest, and manage funds for the benefit of the hospital and its patients.

Today the Hospital Foundation conducts annual campaigns, accepts memorial gifts, encourages bequests and planned gifts, coordinates grant applications to government, corporate, and private foundations.

The foundation oversees a growing endowment fund, to ensure the long-term future of CPH. Foundation funds are also used to purchase medical equipment, upgrade facilities, and expand services to patients. To donate visit www.cphospital.org and click on “Give Now,” or call 261-5410.
