CANTON – The Rushton Boat shop in the village of Canton, the Stone Windmill in Morristown, and DePeyster Round Town Hall are the newest buildings to be added to the St. Lawrence County Historical Association’s series of wooden miniature buildings.
These handcrafted miniatures, created by artisan Marty Pierce, let you bring some county history into your home.
The cost of the buildings is $30 for the complete 2011 set, or $12 each for individual buildings.
The miniatures are available in the SLCHA’s gift shop at the Silas Wright House, 3 E. Main St., Canton, or contact the SLCHA at 386-8111, info@slcha.org.
Each year the SLCHA chooses 3 buildings from around St. Lawrence County to add to its miniature collection.
A total of 150 of each limited edition building are produced. While some of the buildings depicted in miniature form are no longer standing, their diminutive wooden replicas are in no danger of being condemned.
