CANTON -- Feed the Soul Nutrition, Inc. has opened an office at 75 Main St., inside the Glow Spa.
Certified dietitian and nutritionist Nicole Garnsey moved the St. Lawrence County office to Canton from Ogdensburg.
Garnsey obtained her Master of Arts degree in Nutrition Science and completed the dietetic internship at Syracuse University in 2000. In 2005, she became certified as a Diabetes Educator (CDE) through the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators.
Garnsey has expertise in several nutrition specialty areas, including diabetes, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, bariatric nutrition, weight management, and geriatric nutrition.
She provides Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for the nutritional management of numerous medical conditions such as diabetes, chronic kidney disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and food allergies.
Many health insurance companies will cover the cost of MNT with a medical diagnosis and a referral from a primary care provider.
Garnsey is currently accepting new clients at her Canton location. You can contact her at 315-955-9998 or ftsnutrition727@live.com. Her website is: www.feedthesoul.org.
