BRASHER FALLS – Local businesses are chipping in to help local residents get their pets vaccinated against rabies, distemper and other diseases May 12.

The Unique Boutique for Creatures Great and Small, 903 Rt. 11C, is hosting the event, from 2 to 6 p.m.

Also contributing to the cause is Dr. Perez from Java Veterinary Clinic.

Rabies shots for dogs and cats will be $17. Four-way shots for dogs, for distemper, hepatitis, parvo and influenza, will be given at a reduced price of $22. Cats will be offered distemper shots and shots against feline leukemia for $22 each.

“Our primary concern is for the health of our pets,” particularly in light of the difficulty some people are having paying their bills, said Unique Boutique owner Wanda Padgett.

Pre-registration is requested at the pet shop, to help with discounts and reduce paperwork on the day of the clinic.

All are welcome.
