AKWESASNE -- Tim Horton’s stores in Akwesasne and Massena stores recently donated to two local cancer support groups.
The Horton’s outlets accepted donations and sold pink donuts while the Bears Den Convenience Store donated 5 cents for every gallon of gas that it sold on Oct. 24, which they called “National Pink Out day.”
The Akwesasne store garnered $2,025.98 for the Akwesasne Cancer Support Group.
The Massena store gave $2,168.50 to the St. Lawrence Cancer Group.
This marks the third year that Tarbell Management has participated in what they call “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
