The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a series of free workshops for local businesses in anticipation of the Bassmaster Elite Series tournament coming to Waddington in August.
The nationally televised event is expected to draw not only the world’s top bass anglers but also thousands of onlookers to the county.
“The Business of Bassmaster” sessions are scheduled for June 5 at the Dobisky Center in Ogdensburg, June 12 at the Village of Potsdam Community Room, and June 19 at the Community Room in the Massena Chamber of Commerce offices. All are from 1 to 4 p.m.
People may reserve a spot by calling the County Chamber, 386-4000.
Ruby Sprowls, marketing and customer service specialist, will lead each of the sessions in understanding the Bassmaster Elite Series, what these visiting anglers and their followers need, building good customer service, and developing a strong return-customer philosophy.
