CANTON -- Barkley’s Safe & Lock Company, begins 2014 with a new logo and a renewed commitment to serving the security needs of the North Country.

The bold logo, designed by Kelley & Co. Advertising Design, features the familiar classic keyhole supporting the Barkley “B”. This reflects the roots of the business, locks and keys.

Clyde Barkley began the business in the 1940’s, and Evan Poole continues to provide security in the North Country from 1977 to the present.

We hope you like the new look as much as we do. Our product line has evolved from locks and keys to include door closers and handicap door operators; safes of all sizes, shapes and functions; home units to commercial cash storage to gun safes and insulated file cabinets; electronic door hardware and electronic safe locks; video recording security equipment, intrusion alarms, card access systems, automotive locks and related accessories.

Barkley’s Safe & Lock Company consists of owner Evan Poole, Sue Rose, administrative assistant, Dan Clark, general manager, Travis Church and Justin Forbes technicians.

Mobile service is accomplished with three fully equipped service vans, always in contact with the main office to enable quick response when necessary.

The showroom at 16 Court St., Canton, has several models of Gardall and Amsec safes on the floor for your inspection, as well as lock displays to allow hands on demonstrations.

Keys can be made while you wait in most cases, along with replacement locks for home, office or car. In 2013, Barkley’s became a Medeco Security Center, a partnership with the prestigious Medeco High Security Lock Company that provides many new security products to help solve our customer’s security needs.
