The labor group which represents 24,000 AFL-CIO union members in the North Country came to a decision on August 3 after hearing presentations from all the candidates in the race.
“John presented the case for his candidacy very well,” said Ron P. McDougal, council president. “Mr. Silvestri has demonstrated his strong credentials built upon a thirty year career in the North Country, we are eager to support his campaign.”
The Central Trades and Labor Council joins a growing list of labor endorsements for Silvestri including, the Plattsburgh-Saranac Lake Building and Construction Trades Council, Teamsters Joint Council 18, Teamsters Local 687, and Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union No. 773.
