Sharon A. Warren, 71, Potsdam

POTSDAM -- Sharon A. Warren, 71, a resident of Clough Street, passed away Sunday evening, April 28, 2024 at Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Sharon was born May 24, 1952, in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Edward H. and Marion (Leies) Warren.

She was a graduate of Potsdam High School and continued her education by achieving her Associates Degree at Canton ATC and her Bachelor’s Degree in Business at Clarkson University.

Sharon was a bank teller at Marine Midland, continuing with HSBC where she retired as a senior teller after many years of service.

She was an active member of the Potsdam United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Sharon was also an active member and past treasurer of the Eastern Star.

She was an avid Clarkson Golden Knights hockey fan and enjoyed attended Party-Lite parties hosted by Rose Martin.

Sharon also enjoyed birthday and family celebrations, trips to the annual Ice Castle in Saranac Lake and the Adirondacks.

Sharon is survived by her sister-in-law, Judith Warren; her nephews, Seth Edward Warren, Micah Ian (Maggie) Warren, and Jacob Brett (Cesely) Warren; and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Warren on May 5, 1990.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam where friends may call Friday, May 3 from 12-1:30 PM.

The members of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial ritual at 1:30 PM.

Burial will be held privately at Bayside Cemetery, Potsdam.

In lieu of flowers those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to Potsdam Animal Shelter, Potsdam Library, Eastern Star Home in Oriskany, Masonic Care Community in Utica, Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of one’s choice.
