POTSDAM – There will be a pre-concert conversation hosted by Music Director Finalist and Guest Conductor Adrian Slywotzky at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, April 27 before the 7:30 p.m. concert in Hosmer Hall, SUNY Potsdam, and at 2:20 p.m. before the Sunday, April 28 program at 3 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church, Watertown.
Slywotzky, from Boston, MA, will lead the 56-piece orchestra in Mozart’s Overture from The Abduction from the Seraglio, Dolores White’s Crystal Gazing, and Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin. The second half of the program will feature Finnish composer Jean Sibelius’s Symphony No. 2.
During the pre-concert conversation, Slywotzky will explain his approach to these works and his vision for the overall concert.
