In March North Country This Week reached out to Walgreens regarding rumors of a store closure, but a spokesperson called back saying there were no plans to close the store "at this time."
Despite that, the store has since posted a sign in the window that the store is closing. While retail brick and mortar stores in general have continued to shrink in recent years, drug stores have been following suit.
