POTSDAM — A report of a person passed out in a vehicle on Market Street March 29 resulted in felonies for a Potsdam resident, according to village police.
Kurt M. Covey, 35, was charged at 11:32 p.m. with aggravated driving while intoxicated: DWI in last years, and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, both felonies, officers said.
Police said they determined Covey to be intoxicated, while driving on a suspended license with an open alcoholic beverage in his vehicle.
He was also cited for drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, officers said.
Covey was charged at 11:32 p.m. and released on appearance tickets, police said.
