The Annual Colton Winterfest will be held Feb. 9-11, with a wide variety of events.  

Cardboard sled races, a frying pan toss,  corn hole, archery, craft and vendor sale, a white elephant sale, Trivia, Kids Fest and Shrek the Musical are among the events.

A ski challenge with distance markers will be offered at Higley Flow State Park both Saturday and Sunday. Also, the sledding hill at the Fish and Game Club will be open for the weekend.

• Friday, Feb. 9: Spaghetti dinner 2:45-5:00 p.m. as grab and go, and 5-7 p.m. dine  in or until sold out; Boys JV vs. Tupper Lake will play at 5:30 p.m., followed by Boys Varsity vs. Tupper Lake at 7 p.m.; Ski challenge at Higley Flow State Park with distance markers; Music sponsored by Robideau’s Mahogany Ridge 9 p.m.-midnight.
• Saturday, Feb. 10: Free clothing giveaway  9 a.m.-6 p.m. at CPCS;  White Elephant Sale 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Colton Community Church; Soup and sandwiches and bake sale 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Colton Community Church; Craft & Vendor Sale 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Colton Amvets Post 262 downstairs, sponsored by Lisa Fisher;  Introduction to Archery 12 p.m. and Cardboard Sled Races with prizes 1 p.m. both held at Fish and Game Club; Shrek the Musical will be performed Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the school by the Colton-Pierrepont Music Department;; Wood Carver 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Robideau’s Mahogany Ridge; Chili Dinner and Hot Dogs 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the school sponsored by the Well; Trivia 3 p.m. at Raquette River Pub; Live music with Tropical Theme  8 p.m. at Raquette River Pub.
